It was our first 4th of July in Iowa since 2005. Crazy! We missed our lake time and shooting off fireworks in the yard, but we had a good time taking it easy around the house and enjoying Cedar Rapids' Freedom Festival events. They do an amazing job all weekend long.

Earlier in the week we celebrated Chase's good work reading at Cathy's with DQ.
We headed down to the farmers market. We never buy much, if anything, but it's fun to walk around and eat breakfast burritos with fresh coffee while listening to local musicians.
I surprised us all with some really good wings. Ha!
Of course some backyard tenting took place this weekend.
Ben got a tiller and a powerful vehicle to pull out ugly trees with a chain, so we've been doing more landscaping.
She likes to bake with me only so she can lick the bowls.
